Markus Aust lives in Cologne and composes for documentary and feature films. He is a sound director and a Stromorchestrant from the very beginning.
He has shaped the ensemble’s transformations toward the 1. Deutsche Stromorchester with remarkable foresight, already in CONCERTO GROSSO PERIPHERER MUSIKER FÜR ZENTRIERTES PUBLIKUM (German Pavilion, Expo Hannover, 2000).
Markus performed as a soloist on the Wii guitar in SINFONIE MIT DER SINFONIE-MIT-DEM-PAUKENSCHLAG(Sklada Sofia, 2011), mastered temporal distortions and compressions in GAGARIN LOUNGE 10.8 (Art Arsenal Kyiv, 2012), and regulated octophonic symmetry in Central Park, New York (EXPORT CARS TO MARS?, USA 2013).
From 2016 onward, he has led the Schneckenquadraphon with Hawaiian guitar.
