Since graduating from Folkwang University of Arts Essen and completing further training at Performact in Torres Vedras (Portugal), Magdalena* Öttl has been working as a performer* in Germany and Belgium. Before studying dance, Öttl received intensive training as a violinist and has participated in numerous interdisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of dance and music. Öttl has been working with the Belgian company Ultima Vez since 2019 and with Northern Irish choreographer Oona Doherty since 2022. Öttl pursues creative impulses in collectively initiated research on the physical consequences of virtual action and in the context of educational work.
