Anna Magdalena Beetz studied acting, singing, and dance in Hamburg. She began her first permanent engagement as an actress at the Theater der Stadt Heidelberg. After five years, she moved to the stage of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Alongside her acting work, she founded the electropop duo Annagramm with Chriss Gross. They toured Germany as support for Anne Clark and released their CD KLiPP-KLaPP. She later performed at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and appeared as a guest at other theatres.

She works as an actress with the theatre collective Pierre.Vers in Düsseldorf. For the artists’ initiative DAFNE in Essen, she works as a director, dancer, and actress in various projects. She also collaborates closely with The Bridgeworks Köln, an artists’ network for transcultural projects (e.g. guest performances in Accra and most recently Istanbul), as both director and performer.

Her most recent premiere was Echoes (director) in November 2025. She was a soloist in Mass by Leonard Bernstein, produced by the Düsseldorf Festival in November 2025 at the Johanneskirche Düsseldorf.

She teaches acting, dance, and singing, and directs productions for the Theaterakademie Köln and the Comedia Theater Köln. She also works as a choreographer for productions at the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss. She is currently rehearsing at Oper am Rhein for „Alles, was wir sein könnten“, a living-room opera premiering on 30 May 2026.
