Brightly coloured, loud and with anarchic joy, musicians from the ensemble MAM and singer Anna Clare Hauf wander through urban underworlds. Over two days, they will break through the hustle and bustle of everyday life under the city and invite you to open yourself up to the place and its sounds, smells and people – with the freedom to perceive everything in a completely different way. They call on us to celebrate ourselves and the moment together for a brief moment, despite and because of all the unfulfilled, unfinished, impossible and possibly embarrassing things that penetrate beneath the surface of the city.

A second part invites you to listen to more sounds and stories from Europe‘s underground passages.

A production by Hannes Seidl and Briefkastenfirma GbR. A co-operation of Wien Modern, Künstler:innenhaus Mousonturm, basis Frankfurt e.V. and DIALOGMUSEUM Frankfurt. The premiere was supported by the Kulturamt Frankfurt am Main and the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of NEUSTART KULTUR. Parts of the work were made possible by the Karl-Sczuka-Recherche scholarship, which is awarded annually in co-operation between SWR and the Goethe-Institut.
