Verena Barié is an electric recorder player, media artist, and curator of sound-based arts. She lives in Cologne and Düsseldorf.

In 2020, she performed for the first time with the 1. Deutsche Stromorchester in the radio premiere of DIGITAL FREEZE TRIO (Deutschlandfunk, Schwarzenberg). In 2021, she recorded the video production DIGITAL FREEZE / RE-ENSOUNDMENT (LWL-Museum Münster) and directed its simultaneous four-channel video and eight-channel audio YouTube premiere.

For POP-UP AUDIO ARCHITECTURE, Verena programmed the French premiere (TT13 Paris, 2022), and for PUNG PANG PENG, she realized the 32-channel audio performances and interactive installation at the Next Level Festival for Games (Zollverein Essen, 2022).

She also performed the International House Concerts in Detroit and Buffalo (DIE WOHNUNG 100, USA 2023).
