Originally from Paris and based in Cologne since 2012, Lola Rubio studied in Cologne and was a member of the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt.

Lola’s artistic focus lies in experimental contemporary music and free improvisation. In addition to performing with ensembles such as Kollektiv3:6Koeln, hand werk, and PULSE, Lola is a founding member of the award-winning Broken Frames Syndicate (Frankfurt/Main) as well as the instrumental-electronic duo multipol (Cologne).

As a violinist and performer, Lola regularly collaborates with ensembles including Musikfabrik, Ensemble Modern, and Resonanz. Lola’s solo projects further combine sound art and video, addressing questions of identity and perception within late-capitalist realities.
