Australian electric guitarist, composer and organiser Jordan White has been based in Cologne since late 2023. He leads the White–Reznichenko Quintet, curates the festival and concert series Come Closer, and teaches in Cologne and Krefeld.He studied jazz and contemporary music in Melbourne and Weimar, performed extensively across Central Europe, served as a member of the Advisory Council for Foreigners (Ausländerbeirat) in Weimar, and was production manager of the festival Yiddish Summer Weimar. White works with electric guitar, SuperCollider and other electronics, as well as his own extended techniques and alternative tunings, developing a distinctive approach that connects jazz, improvisation, contemporary music and electroacoustic practices. From 2022 to 2025, Jordan White was a member of the board of trustees of Musikfonds and will serve as a jury member of the German Jazz Prize in 2026.
