Hannes Seidl
Hannes Seidl, born in 1977 in Bremen, is a composer. He often collaborates with other artists. The focus of his work lies in interdisciplinary formats, such as the performative exhibition format “We Can Be Heroes” (2021), radio concerts like “You Are Here” (2020), and “Good Morning Deutschland” (2016), or staged concerts like “Salim’s Salon” (2017).
He has worked in various electronic studios including IRCAM (Paris), C.S.C (Padova), ZKM (Karlsruhe), the electronic studio of the AdK (Berlin), and IEM (Graz). He has received numerous awards and was a scholarship recipient at the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, a fellow of the Akademie der Künste Berlin, and the DAAD.
Hannes Seidl has developed his pieces with various renowned ensembles such as Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Mosaik, Klangforum Wien, MAM: manufaktur für aktuelle musik, or the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart. His compositions have been performed at festivals including the Donaueschingen Music Days, Ultima Oslo, steirischer herbst Graz, ECLAT, and Warsaw Autumn.
From 2008 to 2020, he collaborated with video artist Daniel Kötter, with whom he created several music theater installations and short films (including “False Leisure” 2010, “Economies of Action CREDIT LAW LOVE” 2013-2016, and the trilogy City Country River (2017-2019)).
